More than 65 people gathered at the main entrance of the new West Citrus Government Center in Meadowcrest yesterday for the official grand opening.  A number of elected officials spoke to the group and thanked community leaders for the hard work that was put into this new building.

Among those attending were all five County Commissioners and three Constitutional officers.  Chairman Winn Webb, Commissioner Dennis Damato, Tax Collector Janice Warren, Property Appraiser Geoff Greene, and Clerk of Circuit Court Betty Strifler all said a few words during the event.  Commissioner Dennis Damato was also presented with a plaque given by ROF (Refurbished Office Furniture), the company which provided all the refurbished office furniture inside the new government center, in recognition of the County’s “green” efforts in Citrus County government.

The West Citrus Government Center is located at 1540 N. Meadowcrest Blvd., Crystal River 34429.  Citizens can take care of County or State business from the Crystal River Branch offices of the Tax Collector, Property Appraiser, Clerk of Circuit Courts, and Supervisor of Elections.
